Association for Social Development and Aid Mobilization (ASAM) is an independent, impartial, and non-profit organization established in 1995 to support vulnerable populations across Türkiye, including refugees and asylum seekers. ASAM works to address cross-cutting vulnerabilities, striving toward a vision where vulnerabilities are transformed into strengths, and every individual enjoys a life of dignity, safety, equity, and opportunity.
About ASAM Greece – Expanded Vision & Mission
ASAM Greece was established in 2016 in Athens initially as a Representative Office and later evolved into a branch office of ASAM Türkiye, implementing field activities to support vulnerable groups in the Attica region.
Our vision in Greece is to strengthen individual and community well-being by providing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services and fostering inclusive community engagement for refugees, migrants, and other vulnerable groups.
ASAM Greece currently implements Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities, focusing on both individual and group-based interventions. These include structured psychosocial support and psycho-education sessions, as well as community-based group activities aimed at enhancing well-being and resilience.
In addition, ASAM Greece organizes group activities that support social cohesion, such as language workshops and community engagement sessions, fostering inclusion and interaction among refugees, migrants, and host communities.
