Sustainable Development

Our educational programs have long served as a lifeline for vulnerable communities, including the refugee and asylum-seeking children.

Recognizing the universal importance of education, our support goes beyond inclusion to formal education to encompass vocational training and life skills development, ensuring a well-rounded approach to empowerment, for all ages.

The disadvantages that the youth are facing in the job market and the higher risks of falling into informal and insecure employment in the Fourth Industrial Revolution are responded to through both individual and programmatic level interventions. The creation of the semi-formal gig economy, platform work, and on- demand and sharing economy, are addressed while working towards decent work, with a special focus on facilitating the transition from education and training to work, which is also important for decreasing the NEETs rates.

Pschosocial Support

Psychosocial support has been a cornerstone of our work including all groups affected by natural disasters, conflict, or social marginalization. Our approach is holistic, incorporating counseling services, support groups, and community-based interventions comprehensively to address mental health and psychosocial well-being needs.

We recognize the unique challenges faced by both the elderly and the youth. In response, we develop targeted initiatives to address these specific needs, with the aim of reducing inequalities and ensuring that no vulnerable group is left behind.

ASAM is Building the Future

Leveraging its 30 years of experience, ASAM strives to extend SDGs to larger groups and develop more inclusive solutions. While doing so, gender equality and women empowerment remains at the core of all operations. Through all the other programs and interventions that ASAM conducts, ASAM ensures that the organization contributes to the SDG 5 and 10 through both individual level and structural changes in line with the ‘Leave-No-One-Behind’ principle. Through projects that support economic, social, spatial and environmental sustainability, it contributes to a more equitable, livable, and resilient future.
